Verified owner
If you run a rated service, prove it the way the machine economy already trusts: sign one
message with the wallet that receives your payments (the payTo address your
service announces in the x402 catalog). No e-mail, no KYC, nothing to install, and nothing about
the rating changes: a claim verifies who operates the service, never how good it is.
Message you will sign
...
The Verified owner ✓ badge (/s/<host>.verified.svg), the
Rising ▲ badge whenever your outlook turns positive (/s/<host>.rising.svg),
your name, link and contact on the page, and an e-mail the minute your rating moves
(upgrade, downgrade, outlook), sent to the contact on your claim. Badges are embeddable in a README,
docs or site and update themselves daily.
Everything Verified Pro used to sell is now free for every verified owner: the mark, the alerts, the card. The rated party never pays the Report anything (policy). Pages that had Verified Pro keep everything, with no expiry.
Sign the message above with any tool that does EIP-191 personal_sign (EVM) or
ed25519 (Solana) and POST it yourself:
POST https://agenteconomy.report/api/claim
{"host": "api.example.com", "payto": "0x…", "signature": "0x…", "name": "…", "url": "https://…", "contact": "…"}
The wallet must be announced as payTo for that host in the x402 catalog; the date in
the message must be today or yesterday (UTC). Status: GET https://agenteconomy.report/api/claim/<host>.
Exchange deposit addresses and other custodial wallets cannot sign a message. Prove control of
the service's hosts instead: ask for tokens, serve each one as plain text at
https://<host>/.well-known/agenteconomy-verify.txt on its own host (the host above
and every other host that announces the same payTo wallets; each host gets its own
token), then check. Serve the file directly on each host: a redirect counts as a failed check, in the
first check and in the daily re-check.
A domain claim gives the same owner block, badges, rating e-mails, and makes the host above the entry for every wallet announced only by hosts you proved. Domain control does not prove the wallet, so it never moves adoption away from a host you did not prove, and a claim signed by the wallet always takes precedence. The file is re-checked daily; the claim lapses after 3 failed checks in a row. Method.
Scripts: POST https://agenteconomy.report/api/claim/domain with
{"host", "name", "url", "contact"} returns the request and one token per host;
POST https://agenteconomy.report/api/claim/domain/verify with {"host", "request"} checks them.
