Agent Economy Report

About

The observatory of the agent economy

Machines started paying machines. The Agent Economy Report measures that economy every day, from public data, and publishes the measurement the same morning: an operational trust rating (AAA to D) for every service that sells to AI agents over the x402 protocol on Base, Solana, Polygon and Arbitrum, a rating for every agent skill with real adoption in the ClawHub registry, a daily settlement index net of bots and storefronts, rating actions, feeds, a monthly report and an open dataset. No number is typed by hand; the archive runs since 2 August 2026.

Institutional home

The Agent Economy Report is a research initiative of the Center for Studies in Strategy and Innovation at COPPEAD Graduate School of Business, UFRJ. COPPEAD is the graduate business school of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), founded in 1973. The school gives the observatory its academic home; the measurement, the code, the data and the daily operation are the observatory's own, and the independence rules below apply to the school as to everyone else. Nothing here is a statement by the school about any service, skill or agent.

Who runs it

The observatory is run by the Center for Studies in Strategy and Innovation at COPPEAD Graduate School of Business, UFRJ, which designed the method and operates the pipeline. The method is public, versioned and dated (methodology, changelog); every page carries the date of its data and has a JSON twin with the same figures.

Independence and funding

The Agent Economy Report is an independent, automated observatory of the agent economy, a research initiative of the Center for Studies in Strategy and Innovation at COPPEAD Graduate School of Business, UFRJ. The rated party never pays: ratings, pages, badges, feeds and reports are free, and nothing sold here can touch a rating. The observatory is funded by the institutions that use the data (research use is free with citation; commercial use is licensed at a fixed, published price). The team also operates paid x402 services of its own; they are rated by the same code as everyone else, with no manual edits, and the index host is excluded from the ranking. Corrections and disputes follow a published policy: data can be corrected, the method changes only for everyone at once, and no tier can be bought.
