Agent Economy Report

The observatory of the agent economy · daily · data-generated · free

Data updated daily.

Machines started paying machines. This observatory archives, every day, what the rest of the ecosystem doesn't keep about itself, and publishes the measurement the same day: trust ratings, the settlement index and rating actions, generated straight from the data, free, with nothing sold to the parties it rates. A briefing by e-mail sums it up.

State of the Agent Economy. One report a month with the numbers the dashboards leave out: settlement net of storefronts and bots, concentration, how many services anyone actually pays, and how much settles outside the catalogs. Every figure reproducible, CC BY 4.0. Read the latest report →

Trust Ratings. Every x402 service, rated AAA to D by proven adoption (organic paying agents, real settlement and network centrality) with a BBB trust line. Sybil-resistant: fake wallets can't buy a rating. Browse the ratings →

Skill Trust Ratings. A skill is a set of instructions an agent obeys, including whom to pay. Every agent skill with real adoption in the ClawHub registry, rated AAA to D: who it pays (and that service's own rating), what it requires, red flags in its instructions. Free JSON per skill, checked automatically by the x402-trust-check skill. Browse the skill ratings →

Agent Economy Index (AEI). One number, every day: how much machines paid machines: USDC settled to x402 services at agent scale, across Base, Polygon, Arbitrum and Solana, depurated of storefronts and bots. Citable, embeddable, machine-readable. See today's index → · Rating actions →

About. A research initiative of the Center for Studies in Strategy and Innovation at COPPEAD Graduate School of Business, the business school of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Independent, automated, and free to the parties it rates. Who we are and how we are funded →

Open data. The daily archive behind every page, as files with a schema and a citation: the rating of every service for every day since 16 August 2026, the index, the catalog census and the skill ratings. CC BY 4.0: free for any use, commercial included, with citation. Download and cite →

Method. Every number in every edition is computed from our own daily snapshots: the x402 discovery catalog, the on-chain settlement graph across Base, Polygon, Arbitrum and Solana, the MCP Registry, a census of paid-web adoption, and agent marketplace listings. The method is public and the daily series is open, so every figure can be reproduced from the dataset; editions are generated and published automatically from the archive.
